India passed into law the Indians with disabilities Act, 1995, which formally recognised that persons with disability need the support of law to begin exercising their fundamental rights as citizens. Obviously, it also recognised the fact that persons with disability were not getting their dues. |

Founded in hope, developed in truth and constricted under the limitations of support, empowerinfo.com was formed with the intention of imparting empowering information for persons with disability, women, children, the elderly, the poor…
Alas, the promises of help and participation did not fully materialize, and it falls upon a single individual to carry on the work. This compels us to limit our ambitions somewhat.

We are now focused on disability, hoping progressively to cover as many of the other aspects as inputs of resources allow. |

We shall continue to be led by experience and intuition, and guided by the suggestions of our visitors.

The site has changed in appearance, and although still amateur in design, we hope it remains rich in content.

Experience has chastised us and made us wiser: please help us by giving your inputs. Every visitor is a partner as much as a user. The site will grow and expand at regular intervals, but that will happen only through your active participation.
